Organ Concert #4: Sebastian Heindl

Sebastian Heindl is regarded as one of the outstanding concert organists of his generation. As an ECHO Rising Star, he has performed in leading European concert halls such as the Musikverein Vienna, the Barbican Centre London, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and has also appeared in North America and Russia.

With an exceptional stylistic range — as a classical interpreter, improviser, composer, arranger, and jazz musician — he captivates a wide and diverse audience. His vibrant presence, both on stage and online, makes him an important ambassador for the organ.

Since 2023, Heindl has shaped the musical life of Berlin’s Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church as organist and artistic director of the International Organ Summer, the jazz festival InSpirit, and the chamber choir Ensemble Memoria, which he founded.
