Ben van Oosten, born in The Hague in 1955, is a renowned Dutch organist and music educator. He began his musical education at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he studied organ and piano. He later studied in Paris with André Isoir and Daniel Roth.

About the event
Ben van Oosten was born in The Hague in 1955. He studied organ and piano at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, later continuing his studies in Paris.
At the age of 11, he was appointed church organist, and by 15, he made his debut as a concert organist in his hometown. Since then, he has performed at the world's most significant organ venues, establishing himself as one of the leading international concert organists.
From 1994 to 2021, he was principal organ teacher at Codarts (Rotterdam Conservatory), where he trained numerous national and international students.
Van Oosten is a highly sought-after educator at international academies such as the Summer Academy in Haarlem, the McGill University Organ Academy in Montreal, the Torch Center in Seoul, and the Tokyo University of the Arts. He has also served as a jury member at major international organ competitions in Paris, Chartres, Nuremberg, Munich, Landsberg, St. Albans, Birmingham, Geneva, and Dublin.
