Ben van Oosten was born in The Hague in 1955 and is a renowned Dutch organist and music educator. He began his musical training at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where he studied organ and piano. Later, he continued his studies in Paris with André Isoir and Daniel Roth.

Ben van Oosten was born in The Hague in 1955. He studied organ and piano at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam before continuing his studies in Paris.
At the age of 11, he received his first appointment as a church organist, and four years later, he made his debut as a concert organist in his hometown. Since then, he has performed with great success in major organ centers worldwide, establishing his reputation as one of the leading international concert organists.
From 1994 to 2021, Ben van Oosten was the principal organ teacher at Codarts (Rotterdam Conservatory), where he trained numerous national and international students.
He is a sought-after instructor at international academies—including the Summer Academy in Haarlem, the McGill University Organ Academy in Montreal, the Torch Center in Seoul, and the Tokyo University of the Arts—and has served as a jury member at prestigious organ competitions in cities such as Paris,…
